Deep in the corners of letters, the Hounds of Tindalos wait for the unsuspecting in Unspeakable Words, the Call of Cthulhu Word Game.
In this devious word game based on the literary works o H.P. Lovecraft, use your hand of cards to form words to score, determined by the number of angles in the letters. But you must be careful, because every misstep could cost you, since you must test the strength of your mind against each word's point value by rolling a 20-sided die.
Succeed, and you're safe, for now... fail, however, and you take one step closer to madness. Can you keep your sanity long enough to win this horrifically fun word game?

This game is lightweight and fun. Honestly there's not much to it and if you buy it, then it'll be mainly for the artwork (which is excellent) and the many cutesy Cthulhu figures which come with the game. The object is to play cards to make words using the letters with the most angles in them to score higher. You have five 'lives' and have to roll over your word score on the dice or lose a life. Once down to one life, you're basically insane and are allowed to spell nonsense words to compete!
Simple and silly, a great little gift and a daft, but fun piece of fluff. |
